Baby holidays are mostly for the parents. The babies are too young to remember anything anyway. Just be sure to take plenty of photos to show your baby once he or she has grown up. All holidays from Halloween, Easter, to Christmas are infant holidays. Even though your infant wont remember the holiday doesn't mean you shouldn't have it anyway. These occasions are special because you get to celebrate with family.
You want to share as many holidays as you can together because one day you may not have a chance to spend another holiday as a family. So you should make the most of it while you have it. If you have older kids they will probably complain the whole time because that is what they are suppose to do but deep inside they are having a great time too.
They may be a little jealous of the attention the infant is getting so try to spread you time between the baby and the older kids equally. If you show the older children and the baby the same amount of attention their will be less resentment from the older children. The older children were once the infant and now they are not. This can make them feel a little left out.
So when celebrating these holidays make sure you make the baby holiday into a holiday that all the kids can enjoy. If this is your first baby then you will have a blast planning all the fun holiday activities for your new family member. Even babies that are born a month before Christmas will usually have plenty of gifts under the tree, even though they have no idea what is going on.
You will want to capture the moments with cameras or video recorders. Try to capture all of your holidays on film so you can look back over the years at the holidays you shared together. When you watch your videos from your past holidays you will be able to see your baby growing into a child then a teenager and then to a full grown adult.
Once your toddler is an adult and starts a family of their own you can then start recording your grand babies holidays. These are precious memories that you will hold on to for the rest of your life. Baby holidays are a little different than the ones for older kids. You have to help them open their gifts on Christmas.
On Easter you get to help your infant paint their first Easter eggs. Then you get to help them find their eggs on the egg hunt. Halloween does not always go over very well with babies. Most babies do not like being in their costumes and are constantly trying to take it off.
The fourth of July is a great holiday but most babies are scared by the loud sound of the fireworks going off. You can try it and if they don't like it then you can just by some of the fireworks from a store and do them at home. They have fireworks that are not that loud and your baby may actually enjoy that. They will enjoy the colors just not the loud sounds.
