Since childhood, I was already familiar what witches are. I can say that the stories of princesses in the story books I witnessed during my childhood years are the ones that made me aware of these. Just like the story of snow white and her evil step mother that turned out to be a witch. Or the story of sleeping beauty and many others.

However, there were actually many misconceptions about some of the people who practice witchcraft. And I'm just amazed how really media can change our ways of thinking about certain thing. But let me give you some idea what are these kind of people and why they are practicing witchcraft.

During the 1950s, Wicca was popularized by Gerald Gardner. He is known as the Wiccan high priest during that time. Not until 1960s, the name of the religion was normalized to Wicca. Its adherents were later called as Wiccans.

Wicca is a duotheistic religion. Duotheistic means the people practicing Wicca are worshipping two gods, one is a god and the other one is a goddess.

You might never think that Wicca has many denominations, right? Well, now I'm going to tell you that there are actually many denominations of Wicca or referred to us as traditions. However, even though they are marked to have different traditions, there are various commonalities that exist between these disparate groups. And these include views on theology, magic and the morality, and the afterlife.

Would you mind if I ask your opinion if do you think Wiccans are scary? Well, as far as I am concerned, these people actually are unbelievers of what we call as doing evil things. They don't believe in taking drugs, killing animals, summoning demons, and many other misconceptions that we stick to their name.

And as oppose to the black magic practitioners, these people are actually practicing white magic. However, once they are already strongly involved in practicing Wicca magic, they should start practicing "protection magic". This is to ward off bad energies or the one that might cause them to do evil things.

On the other hand, there's just one thing that I have to point out. When these Wiccans are unbelievers of the devil, then they are actually more prone to the destructive power of the invisible world out there. It is because they are somewhat blind by what they believed. So I think the best thing to do is to still read the word of God so we can understand what kind of world we will be facing.
