Powers of God Described in Holy Texts.
Holy scriptures of Hinduism contain the characteristics of a god in them. As he is the supreme power in the universe, anything that happens in the world should be known to him. Beauty, justice and love are parts of him. He has created this universe, , which makes him the sole owner who should be blessing the world. It is mentioned in Rig Veda that eleven Rudras, twelve Adityas, eight Vasus, Indra and Prajapathi are masters of all living and non-living beings on Earth, the Space and the Heaven. Rig Veda also says that all gods in Hinduism are multiple parts of the absolute power of the universe.
Adhikaara and Ishta Devaa, 2 philosophies in Hindu religion, give the option to devotees to believe in any deity according to their belief system and seek answers to their spiritual questions. An individual is given all the liberty to select a god to find answers to his.
Main Gods.
As there are many Gods in Hinduism, classifying them is not possible. But, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are the most important gods in Hinduism, who are responsible for creation, preservation or saving the universe and destruction of the universe, respectively. In addition to these gods, the goddesses formed from the power Shakti are also important. Among these Goddesses Parvati, Saraswati and Lakshmi are very important. Kali and Durga are 2 different parts of the power Shakti.
Devotees also worship many other avtars of these Devas and Devis. Krishna, Rama, Ganesha and Hanuman are some of the favorites of many Hindu believers across the world. Devi is the other name for Goddess and Deva is the other name for God.
Important Avtars.
As per Hindu religion, the most important avtars are the ten avtars of the protector, Lord Vishnu. Hindus believe that Lord Vishnu, to save the universe from evil forces, takes birth in various avtars in different Yugas. Lord Vishnu takes birth ten times. Vamana, Krishna, Parashurama, Matsya, Koorma, Varaha, Narasimha, Rama, Balarama and Khalki are his ten avtars. Hindu devotees believe that the current epoch is Kaliyuga, in which Lord Vishnu is supposed to be in the form of Khalki, who is the 10th avtar.
Hindus also worship sun, air, water, fire and earth. They also have the name 5 elements. Believers of Hinduism revere animals and other living beings, regarding them as gifts of God.
