Sometimes as Internet marketers we spend so much time trying to make money that we overlook another useful way to benefit from the Internet. What I am talking about is finding ways to save money. Every dollar you save is just as good as earning $1.

I have to note that I have done a poor job of this in my life. With how easy it is to save money online there really is no excuse for all of us not doing it at least a little bit.

I am not talking about Extreme Couponing either. Perhaps you have seen the television show on TLC where people buy $500 worth of groceries for $5. There is a talent and work ethic to using enough coupons to implement this strategy.

Some of these people have over $50,000 in groceries in their garage and scattered around their house. I don't know about you, but I personally do not have any interest in turning my house into a grocery store.

Here are a few ideas on how to save money online and not spend a lot of time doing it.

1. Coupon mom. They offer tips on Strategic Shopping. Learn how store coupons work, where to find the best coupons, and how to use them. They send out regular emails letting you know where to find the best savings and you can even look at your favorite grocery store by the state you live in.

2. Affiliate programs. Join an affiliate program and buy from yourself. This is a good way to save money on just about anything you can think of. Think of it as buying at wholesale.

3. Retail Me Not. Search for coupon codes from over 90,000 stores. Use the codes to save money before you hit the payment button on your order. For example, I have started doing this to save 30% on domain names at Go Daddy.

4. Gas Buddy. This is a cool site to search for local gas prices. Yesterday I went to a gas station and saved 7 cents a gallon over where I normally buy my gas. And it was less than 1 mile away.

5. Bill Shrink. This is a free cost savings tool to find ways to save money on everything from cell phones to credit cards.

6. Groupon. Save 50% to 90% on things that interest you. They will send you an email based on your zip code. This is a great way to get personalized deals, buy gifts, and you can print the voucher or save it to your cell phone.

7. MyWorldPlus. Here is a way to save money and make money. Print off coupons, buy from your own online mall, and use your own discount card. I have made over $8K in 2 years and actually use this program to save money every week in a variety of ways too.

These are just a handful of ways to save money using the Internet today. Instead of spending your time trying to make money spend a little bit of it trying to save money and you will come out ahead!
