3. Income goals. How much money do you want make from email marketing every month.

There are a few different ways you can go about monetizing an email list. One thing you can do is sell affiliate products and make money with affiliate programs.

Another thing you can do is sell advertising to other Internet marketers. As your list matures there is a value in it to people who do not have a list of their own. There are also plenty of online marketers who are looking to promote their products through email marketing beyond their own current list.

4. Website traffic. This is an underused strategy for email marketing.

Rather than constantly working on driving traffic to your website, you can use your list to get plenty of traffic every day. One way to do that is to make a quality blog post and then send an email to your list inviting them to read it.

Another thing you could do is create a new webpage with a review of a new product in your niche. Again send an email out to your list inviting them to come to your new webpage and read your review.

5. Testimonials. Get other members of your list to write testimonials for you. Post those on your blog and invite your list to come and read what they have to say about your products and programs.

People like to read testimonials from people other than yourself. When you are getting results from other members of your list who brag about you it is a great way to increase your sales.
