There is a reason why so many travelers visit Vancouver British Columbia each year. It is not just its warm and welcoming laid back atmosphere, but there are so many things to see and do in this marvelous city. Vancouver is one of the most popular cities in Canada. Below are some of the most popular destinations in Vancouver.

Gastown: As one of Vancouver's oldest districts, Gastown is home to a wide range of cobblestone lanes, beautiful refurbished buildings, and you will find the world's first steam-powered clock. When you walk through historic Gastown you will enjoy eclectic shopping at designer shops and unique art galleries and studios. As well, there are many fun bars and great restaurants.

Stanley Park: Vancouver's Stanley Park covers 1000 acres and is a downtown refuge offering visitors and residents an assortment of outdoor and indoor activities. You will enjoy a 5.5 mile seawall that provides the ideal flat and paved path for cycling, rollerblading, hiking, and jogging. You can also visit the Vancouver Aquarium, a petting farm, and many other recreational facilities that are in Stanley Park.

Vancouver Aquarium: The Vancouver Aquarium is Canada's largest aquarium. It is home to more than 70,000 animals in 116,000 square feet of facility space. Profits from the entry fee are used to support its mission to conserve aquatic life.

English Bay: Located in the West End of downtown Vancouver, English Bay is a charming and lively waterside neighborhood that provides a great place to walk, enjoy a beverage, and shop at its unique shops. The Boathouse Restaurant is a great place to watch the beautiful romantic sunset.

Granville Island: Located at the edge of downtown Vancouver, Granville Island is a 37-acre island that is a great place to shop and enjoy the charming culture. You will travel to and from Granville Island by the Aquabus which is a fleet of small electric ferries that carry people across False Creek. Granville Island is home to a fantastic public market, arts galleries, and trendy shops. Granville Island is free to visit and is open year-round.

Capilano Suspension Bridge: Built in 1889, the Capilano Suspension Bridge stretches 450 feet across and 230 feet above Capilano River. The Capilano Suspension Bridge is not just a spectacular bridge but it is also a big park with a rich culture and history and it offers many fun activities. The park offers the Kids' Rainforest Explorer program, guided nature tours, and a Living Forest exhibit. Capilano Suspension Bridge is a 20 minute drive outside of downtown Vancouver.

Yaletown: Yaletown is a historic warehouse district that resides on the edge of downtown Vancouver on False Creek. The area has a trendy, edgy feel, with a blend of businesses, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, services and more. The Yaletown is popular place for a pint of ale.
