They changed a few facts and figures on a document, submitted it, and thought that nobody would even notice.

What's important to take note of here, is that any alteration of any document submitted as part of the loan application process qualifies as loan fraud. Now the odd thing here, is that while it's illegal to alter a document in any way, at the same time is perfectly legal to open your mouth and tell any lie you want to while applying for a loan. However it's when they cross the line into altering documents is when they get into trouble.

So the gist of it all, is that in the end, it really is just better if you be perfectly honest when ever you're applying for any type of credit.
