- One thing About West Coast Swing (Dance) To Promote It By:-Kevin Merrick
The West Coast Swing is purported to be derived from Lindy Hop from sometime in nineteen thirty at the height of the Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller's Big Band era. It can be danced to almost any type of music at any speed and allows dancers leeway to improvise and add to their basic step repertoire. One need not think too long when asked to write something about West Coast swing (dance) as it is an exciting performer and spectator routine.
- Will You West Coast Swing? By:-Kevin Merrick
In the dance halls of New York of the 1920's a new dance craze originated. From that dance craze West coast swing was born. This dance is as popular today as it was in the 1920's. Some people believe that dancing is not real dancing unless there is some form of swinging going on.
